Ahead of the Roady's Masterton stop, Malcolm Mulholland and Dr David Galler spoke about what they'd heard travelling through the South Island, from patients unable to access GPs and specialists to community-led and kaupapa Māori health services showing what's possible.

Wairarapa Hospital emergency department clinical head Dr Norman Gray also called for urgent, transformational change, saying the health system needed to take a giant leap to meet unmet need.
